Man Made - TV Broke My Brain [ Music Video ]

The first full length music video produced solely by Allan Buxton, TV Broke my Brain is a project that took patience, round the clock dedication and more than 800 individual drawings. The band Man Made lead by Nile Marr commissioned the video with a few references in mind but left the brief open allowing imagination to take the reigns. The result is a psychedelic story following the lyrics of the song with style influences from the 1989 film 'Drug Store Cowboy' set in Portland, Oregon - Niles original hometown.

Each drawing is photographed from directly above to construct a raw animation using 'Dragonframe' stop motion software. Colouring and texturing is then individually applied frame-by-frame through Adobe Photoshop and composited using Aftereffects.
